“Really inspired by Alexandra’s (Bodnarchuk) work, and I hope I can also contribute to the continuation of Carpatho-Rusyn culture in dance the way that Doma has done so beautifully.”
“So glad I got to see it, literally cried …”
“Really great representation of modern Carpatho-Rusyn-ness.”

Shot on location in Marine on St Croix, MN two women dance through a field, weaving around each other in ways that feel familiar and new. Each circle, hand hold, and breath pull and push them through space. Clad in costumes that reimagine elements of women’s wear from the Medzilaborce district of Eastern Slovakia, Bodnarchuk and collaborators explore their relationship with matrilineal lineage.
